It was very smooth in application.
I am looking at how modern combat sport is more specified. Using short sword (machet) and a longer pole would be easy to do with this kind of padding.
I see a combat sport olympics of mma or combat sambo, knife, stick, and pole, as well as team sport aspects of this.
I think our kung fu practice can benefit from some of these training modalities.
