1. wrist power

such as downward pointing or dian. one has to suddenly raise the wrist or shaking the wrist.

2. wrist rotation with body method/stepping

such as chuan or gua the sword has to be close to the body much

practice more wrist rotation with arm movement

when you move down your sword in a circle, you accelerate at the bottom and may be stomp your feet

your next circle is faster and with more power.

your third circle is even faster and heavier

etc etc

the expression of the power has to be clear and crisp

at the sword body, sword edge or sword head

Not to be too literal, but it's like 'plum flower palm sword'. I'm thinking like taijiquan & taijijian.

But to cite another example, baguazhang (also a style like taijiquan) and baguadao.
