The first man is Fang Huanyi of Eight Step PM. He is listed at the Mantis Cave as the student of Jiang Hua Long and teacher of Wei Xiao Tang. He was born in 1879 A.D. and was nicknamed "Ghost Shadow" due to his fast footwork.

good answer richard, you chimed in before me. not much is known about him, he was in our lineage adn this is a copy of the ponly pic I know to exsist. He added chin na from eagle claw to ba bu but other than that much of his life is a mystery.

Thank-you gentlemen for your informative answers.

I love these kinds of pictures, but I'm not particularly well up on who's who in the mantis world.

Here is what I have in my notes from long ago:

Hao Lian Ru 郝 莲 茹 (1864 - 1914 A.D.) of Mu Ping County, Shandong was a disciple of Liang Xue Xiang. He, along with his sons Hao Henglu and Hao Hengxin, and his grandson Hao Bin created Tai Ji Mei Hua Tang Lang in the early twentieth century.
