Ok, I am sick of Norton !
It slows up everything, its freaking ridiculous !!
I need some advice as to what anti-virus I can use that will not make my system slower than a Taiji practioner in a coma !

I have McAfee through my DSL account. I have no issues with it.

I haven't had any problems with BitDefender either.

I've used Microsoft Security Essentials for a while now, on multiple PCs. I've never had a problem.

I use AVG free at home.

I hear you on your NORTON pain. Symantec is a dealbreaker for me. I will not use their products.

fwiw i don't use McAfee either or kaspersky or panda or avast.

just AVG free.

if i do get a problem, I use system restore to get out of it or have malwarebytes as well to get rid of any pests.

This has been effective for me for years.

BTW, I only started to use AV software in the last 2 years.
Before that, I practiced safe surfing and made use of multi firewalls instead lol.

We use McAfee at my work. It doesn't affect performance at all.

Agreed with David. Don't use McAfee or Norton. AVG has a good rep.
