When I'm in bed about to go to sleep I review all my katas in my head, step by step. I find this psychological bookeeping extremely helpful at the end of the day. Too often, we tend to overlook the importance of the mind vis-a-vis martial arts and instead concentrate on the muscles.

Maybe it's the equivalent of "counting sheep", I don't know, but I find it relaxing.

When i get in my stance...I have my mouth open a tad and then i breath withmy tounge touching the roof of my mouth. That will for you to breath through your nose and use your gut more then you upper upper body. Then to exhale you just breat out of your mouth. If you practice Wing Chun this is a must. Its will make your lower back fill in wear it is saposed to be.This will get you very very relaxed and help you keep you body locked.
