Nice video. I especially like the term, "dynamic structure."
The way you described being alive, although not in those terms was a good explanation. (when you need structure, it arises..) It is a very difficult concept to explain into words.
Very hard to explain verbally what really must be felt to be understood. (like trying to explain what chocolate tastes like)
Well done, Hendrik.

Hi John,
Is Hendrik's Explanation of the snake engine the same as what you discribed below?
"My Tai Chi teacher (Wei Shu Ren, Beijing) described as "feeling like sitting on a swing."
Stability is not attained through strong roots; but rather so unstable that the opponent cannot apply any force onto you. You can also move freely in any directions with the minimal of force, but always return the central equilibrium while releasing the "borrowed" energy. Hence solid rooting is a hinderance and it is not required; it becomes rather like, "sitting on a swing."

Hendrik, very well explained. Thanks for sharing.
John,
You are welcome.
The following song is for you and friends like bro Phil who knows Cantonese .
The name of this song changes to yim wing Chun. The perfect detail soft and strong Jin handling kung fu the singer has is called Lin tau. The lyrics is how I feel on the yik kam kuen kuit.

is the body mechanics of bagua related to wing chun, since the ermei snake and bagua both are from ermei ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8EK8d5qzhc

Having studied both bagua and several types of WC - unequivocally no.
Bagua is not from Ermei. For my money, neither is WC.

They are different engines but every engine has a strength .
