Greetings,

I am talking about Bobby Simmons.

He is a former member of the rap group Stetsasonic who went on to do FLAVA video show on UHF channel 41 (or was it 31?) back in the 1990's. His show was a video request call in show, unique for the time. He had an afternoon slot and an after midnight slot. In after midnight slot he would show some of the uncensored rap vids and discuss subject matters with callers. There were times when he would perform to music or do skits. His humor was unbridled, often reminiscent of the late Charlie Barnett. There were times when he would get yanked off the air for some of his antics, but he would return because he brought in the dough.

The following is a skit based on "Scared Straight" a program that involved inmates who intimidated adolescents to stay on the straight and narrow path of righteousness. He plays two characters AMAZINGLY well. He is going live against a recorded image of himself: the inmate was live. This skit contains strong dialogue and it was quickly yanked.
