Can anyone name any old KF movies with real CMA sets/drills? I know there are some but don't recall at the moment.

I think there was a flick with a Northern Praying Mantis set and also one with some real CLF.

While we're at it how about name your style and a movie you think highlights that style as well?

This movie "Shuai Jiao King" shows some real TCMA techniques. It mentions the 3 major TCMA throws

- leg lift,
- leg block, and
- shoulder throw.

In this clip the teacher actor even mentioned about my teacher's nickname as, "In the north, there is Baoding fancy butterfly, in the south, it's me ...".

Cool, I've never seen a Chinese Wrestling KF flick.

"Duel Of The Seven Tigers" - couldn't think of that one before. Lee Koon Hung looks to be doing Ping Kuen in the opening sequence. CLF is so repetitious it could be Cross Hands or something else. Those are the sets I learned from him.

I forgot the broadsword set from Chan Sau Chung completely but I might have it on tape somewhere.

Anyone know the name of the set the girl does after the lion dance in the movie "Choy Lay Fut"? Or was that put together just for the movie?

Praying Mantis. Less sucky than typical, but still not very good.

Starting at 1:03:39.

A bit better. Starting at 4:30, especially the kick at 4:36.

Was looking for some old black and white of Shek Kin, but found this instead.

A little bit of Mantis throughout the movie. Here are a few parrries using Mantis hook. Timing is nice, but too bad he doesn't counterattack at the same time.

Shek Kin looked good but the others were movie mantis. The first one looked like Shaolin Do Mantis (no offense SD guys).

It's pretty much a give away when they hold the mantis hooks through the whole fight and hit with the finger.

Yep. That's super annoying.

The level changes and the shin kick in the second clip were decent though.

The idea of the dun pak throw in the first clip was good. But the execution and the choreography was sloppy choppy and slow like the rest of it.

Ok for a beginner, but stands like she's never had to face off against anybody before.

So cute and innocent, playing pretend :)

Looks like a dancer that's learned martial art moves without any clue on how to use them.

Sifu does a bit of ping kuen at the opening of Duel of the 7 Tigers but then goes into a bit of freestyle mode. The form Yueng Pan Pan does I think was a mixture of different forms put together for the movie. She studied a bit with sifu but that isn't one of our forms although it kind of resembles some of the baat kwa sets.

True too.

But as far as movies, a Donnie Yen fight scene is a lot more watchable than one with Keannu Reeves.

Yueng Pan Pan is a hottie and that form she did had a real traditional look so I didn't think it was made up just for the film.

I think there was a film where a kid did Bung Bo but I can't remember the name of it and I don't think I have it in my collection.

Vaguely remember that too.

I think it was one of the really cheesey Jackie Chan movies or a ripoff of his movies when he started getting popular.

"Master with Cracked Fingers" maybe? Something from around that time.
