Our forum transfer, which I mentioned over a month ago, has gone horribly wrong. Our originaly deadline was last month, which we iously did NOT meet, costing us an extra $1000 (so please buy lots of stuff from www.MartialArtsMart.com (http://www.MartialArtsMart.com) to cover for it everyone ;) ) Anyway, we are up at the end of another month, which means another $1000 bill. This time our sponsors may cut us off. So things look very bleak right now. We are making another big push this weekend. Now it's pretty desperate.

We have had problems with the data transfer from Infopop (our current system) to vBulletin. Neither system seems willing to cooperate. As mentioned before, we will almost certainly have to sacrifice many of the old posts, specifically on the main forum since it is so big. Right now, our biggest problem has been with the dates shifting all the old posts back to 1970. It's complicated web tech stuff - the kind of things that every webmaster says they can do with ease, but always get snagged in the details. the devil's in the details.

www.KungfuMagazine.com (http://www.KungfuMagazine.com) inherited this forum from www.KungfuOnline.com (http://www.KungfuOnline.com) becuase it had grown to large for KFO to support financially. Forum growth is exponential because each new member brings multiple posts. We had anticipated the growth, but we did not anticpate Infopop's change in billing structure that now charges us for page views. This we cannot afford. So we intend to make this transfer, although it will sacrifice some of our data and half of our old members (but they weren't posting anymore anyway.) Keep your fingers crossed. I am commited to keeping this forum available and free.

We have just submitted out next Kungfu Qigong Magazine to the printers, so we cleared that deadline amidst this forum transfer chaos. However, we have not been able to update our E-zine since the transfer began. Our apologies, but as soon as the transfer is done, we have lots of good stuff queued up for you. Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted.

Now it's all in the hands of our webmasters and the forum service providers. Our office is taking a short break to catch the opening of The ONE, then we'll be watching the transfer process. I wish everyone a good weekend and hope to see all of you on the other side.

Hey Gene, thanks. My kid loves the punching bag chain, and my cat is in constant full contact sparring with the boxing glove one. Have a good one.

I hope everything works out okay. I'd hate to see KFO disappear.

I think I can manage to purchase something this coming week. If others join in then maybe it will help cover cost and keep this forum free.

If necessary, we can just start over, right?

We vote for the number one most liked thread and chuck the rest. WE WILL BUILD AGAIN!

I don't get mad.
I get stabby.

hey gene heres an idea how about saving money by reducing the bandwidth from people who keep on starting arguments about kung fu not proving itself in mma and bjj matches ?
how about some peace and quiet like maybe the moderators can lock threads that have been analysed to death 100 times before about mma and ufc and bjj?

what do bin laden and general custer have in common????
They're both wondering where the fu(k all of those tomahawks are coming from. - donated by mojo

2 Days late.
The changes you see are not the transfer. We are still in Infopop. Had this been a real transfer, you would be notified and I could relax. This is just a trick. Treat is still on the way, I hope.
