Greetings,
Horror Hotel was one of the few horror movies that had me afraid of the dark. I watched it this past weekend and tonight. It still holds up magnificently. I don't know why it is being remade. It is one of the few films that may have "inadvertently" dropped knowledge about what some of those arcane societies were still doing today by using witchcraft as a vehicle to tell the story. The hint to all of that was made in a brief shot of an eye seen on the other side of a magnifying glass: the all seeing eye.
The movie was powered by a serious ensemble. It will be a tough act to follow.
