I have a student of mine that moved away to Spokane and he is having a hard time finding any traditional kung fu schools, let alone a southern style. Does anyone here know of any schools that don't actively advertise, or a sifu that may only teach privately in that area?

The closest I can think of is John Leong's school but that's 4 hours away in seattle according to Google

Not Southern Kung Fu, but Sensei Rick Montgomery teaches his Shotokan over there in Spokane. I have never seen anything like it, and he is one of the most amazing martial artists I have crossed paths with over the years. If you are serious about martial arts I would make the time to seek him out.

Steve Smith of "the little dojo". He's in Walla Walla but it's close enough to Spokane. That's all I can think of. He's one of the best in the world IMO and is the inheritor of "Fook Yeung Chuan"..the art of Master Fook Yeung(Bruce's lesser known Wing Chun teacher..of the Red Boat lineage).
