...looks like straight out of gung ji... bin choi then ngau gok choi... leading hand swings through and second hand follows.. footwork could be better,,and of course i dont think the guy is a hung kuen man... but still nice knock out :)

dont think he needed it, amazing bare hand fights galore and no elbow down straight punches in sight...lots of hooks and overhands looked like boxing crossed with CLF and the longer range stuff from hung gar) and two lovely throws

Not to be an anally retentive Hung guy :D, but the way it is suppose to be done, the 3rd strike is "on its way" there before that second one is done.
:p

The Late Pete Robinson ( our very own Bakxiboxer) showed me this combo with such speed and power that I train it to this day.
It was a thing of magnificent beauty- speed, power and fluidity.

i think the guy knew he didnt need it lol :)
it amazes me people can quote study after study about vertical v horizontal punches, but what we see in MMA and street fighting is the less protection the more the punches start winging and swinging :)

makes me glad to be training CLF and hung gar just in case the haaka stuff fails lol

I dont think this combo is in tiger/crane (at least not in our version)... its twice in the gung ji part of gung ji fook fu kuen; left sided and right sided...but yes the whole combo closes with a chung choi upper cut to the body or head..but it wasnt needed in the clip..lol...

here the same combo at 1.38
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8uY7C2siRA
dont mind some of the other applications..the video is from 2008 and everybody keeps improving (or should be :) )

got it but that would be a gwa choi/cup choi combo out of the seven star section... which isnt less effective though :)
gwa choi downwards, cup choi like an overhand

in the initial video its more of a horizontal swinging strike (bin choi) followed by a ngau gok choi (oxhorn strike)...

anyway the gwa/cup combo is another of my favourite long bridge striking combos :)

The only limits we have are the ones we impose on ourselves my friend :)
There are many ways to "skin a cat".

Beautiful lead round kick !
While not a fan of vids like this they are great teaching tools:
Surprise is THE element in all those KO's.
No defense is better than AWARENESS !

Ummm...at 1:41 I'd call that a back-fist and a cross punch :D (and BTWF it looks to me like the cross in this case happens to be with a vertical fist, though I can't be positive :))...are there any styles that don't train that combo?

I usually can't enjoy clips of random real violence...but those are some really well chosen clips--I enjoyed watching too much.

Yeah, cause we all have them in our backyards. Dogs are uncommon.
