The White Crane Research Institute Inc © and the Wu He Dao Zhan Pai White Crane Gongfu © aims to address the current culture of violence within society by teaching people self-respects, self-esteem and most importantly control of the self in a positive manner.

We within the White Crane Research Institute Inc © and the Wu He Dao Zhan Pai White Crane Gongfu © fully support the special activites and unique message of the wonderful “Step Back Think” group.

The sole mission of Step Back Think is to educate people on the catastrophic consequences one punch can have, and from this, reduce levels of street violence.

We seem to be facing a “Lost Generation”, a so-called “progressive” or “enlightened” society that has lost it’s sense of order. We are seeing more and more people with little engagement or purpose in life and a worryingly blase attitude to authority and violence. We are seeing a new breed of highly narcissistic people beset with rigid thinking and with no respect for authority, little to no exposure to traditions and ritual and a lack of skills in anger management.

This culture of violence and lack of respect is the result of a highly toxic confluence of factors including the breakdown of society and family, increase, promoted and accepted alcohol intake and abuse, drug abuse and the normalization of violence in the media and popular culture and a “show off” mentality.

Step Back Think seeks to eradicate street violence. A single punch thrown in the heat of the moment can end the life of your brother or sister or friend and tear your world apart. Step Back Think wants to encourage young people to think more about their actions and their consequences. Step Back Think urges people to look out for their friends – guys and girls - because one punch can change countless lives forever. I skimmed that.

And I don't care.
