some of this looks really dangerous for the practioner. Why train to block punches that are seriously out of range? And that snake technique- I guess you'd have to have a good technique in case someone grabbed your arm, pulled you off balance and started whacking you in the face, right?

Yeah I don't want to get into an argument abiut it but a lot of the structure is bad. It seems like the instruction is bad too. I saw the students doing "chi sau" and miss several easy opportunities for basic traps like po chung and la da. The little play fight they had at the end was also pretty sad.

There is nothing more dangerous than giving students a false impression that they can fight, even if the teacher has the best integrity and intentions. That's what get people killed, false confidence.

To be honest JP, one can learn more from Master Wong's online video than Stan's "Grand Master". :p

Agreed, and both do well in providing a good laugh! Main difference is, one is intended to be funny, the other isn't.

(I actually enjoy watching Master Wong, the guy's got charisma. Even if I don't necessarily agree with his approach to WC, his outlook and attitude crack me up every clip. Oh, and Wong can probably fight, unlike that clown stan & gang)
