Approaching this with neutral curiosity, considering the TCMA world doesn't have the most honest history when dealing with skill demonstrations.

edit - here's a fully video:

It appears someone reversed the .gif. He doesn't back handspring and land on his index fingers.

Also if you watch the motion, it's not a back handspring motion. The angle is wrong. It makes much more sense now seeing that he started in a handstand and went over forward.

Looks like a handspring start that turns into a double walkover. The difference is the amount of time that no part of your body is touching the ground.

Youtube "walkovers" and you'll see what I mean. There are many variations.

Wrestlers call that "checking the oil"...proof that this is an instinctive technique developed independently by many cultures.

I'd still like to know how many fingers he went through before he got that down.

Well, to be fair, the actual oil check was originally intended to be used on the tail bone. A young wrestler got himself charged with 21 counts of rape for using this. I think he thought it was funny and went too far with it. Still, it's a legit move. In H/S they taught it and called it a tail drag. I've heard a few names for this move.
