Taira Masaji Sensei is awesome! I've been watching his vids on youtube and I have to say he's my newest favorite real life martial artist. He's an excellent example of what I've been trying to express in some of my other threads. Makes me want to take up Goju... well at 4:20 he's doing a mantis tu sau yu jom... ok, makes me want to apply my mantis with more "crispy-ness"

I've always liked Taira sensei, Kinjo sensei from Uechi-ryu is another of my favs as is Higaonna sensei of Gpju.
The relationship between the Okinawan systems of Goju and Uechi ryu and their southern China origins can be seen in these high level masters.
The higher up in Okinawan karate one goes, the more one tends to be "kung fuish".
Taira sensei is a prime example of these.
