I've tried these, I have a couple questions:

1. Can I brush my hands against the floor on the way down for balance?

2. Do you breathe out on the way up, and inhale on the way down?

My first attempt at these was promising - I completed 96 when I decided to quit because my knees were clicking too much. I hope the clicking goes away with practice. The next day my quads were comfortably sore. I also found the exercise worked my lower back.
By comparision, I tried the hindu pushups - I don't think I could do more than 10. So much for doing half as many hindu pushups as hindu squats.

Anybody want to share their experiences?

I did check out that site, but I didn't see anything about breathing or touching your hands to the floor.

1.as demonstrated by matt furey on his royal court video he brushs his fingers on the floor with each rep.

2.exhale on the way down (compression)
inhale on the way up (expansion)

96 rep.s on the first try is pretty good

try doing them in sets 3 of 50 for example
