MIPTV: Moonscoop in the US and Australia’s Wandering Eye Pictures have come together on new animated property, Southside Shaolin.
The 52x11′ coproduction was unveiled here at MipTV, billed as a culture-clash action-comedy. It follows a young girl, the daughter of a kung-fu master, during a student exchange to the unfamiliar world of a large US city.
It will combine 2D and 3D animation. “It’s an infectious, very relatable combination of high-energy characters navigating the social pressures of their high school world,” said Moonscoop CEO Mike Young. No broadcasters are yet attached.
