Hello,

Wanted to get opinions on the following video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EsJf5_JFC8

I was not sure what lineage you she referenced in the video but thought this was a bit different than anything usually seen.

Although, I wonder why I never run into women who want to train Wing Chun...........at least none that look good anyhow.

Opinion: great abs! :)

I am guessing she is quite new to Wing Chun, which is why the positions look a little odd. Not sure of the lineage - many things different to how I do SNT.

:)

This is a typical demo on the whole body breaking a part.

If you scan at it with the first three basic layers of the five layers one at a time.

1. Body, only one arm movement. All othe parts shutdown or being unsupportive

2. Mind , no alive awareness but dull thinking.

3. Breathing, difficulties to breath

No way one can develop effective force change and momentum with these.

So, is this WCK practice? Nope, it is a waste of effort.

Hmm, perhaps for WC but some other things I view in this video are far from a wasted effort. :D In fact it looks like some things were very well developed ;)

Hate to break it to ya, but to be fair, the same can be said about all of your videos, except that your vids come with a ~20 min explanation that neither shows nor proves what you're saying.

I don't know. Do you really think her, er ...."techniques" are authentic?

You may have a point.............perhaps an in depth investigation is in order........now that I am single again I offer to perform an in depth detailed inspection :p

Wow, I'm not sure if the video even really counts as Wing Chun. It's a well known fact that Wing Chun is the most deadly and effective martial art in the world, but Linda Vu is doing it all wrong. It's not the way I learned it, and it's pretty well established that my lineage is completely correct in this regard. But Vu's violates so many principles. It's really just body level stuff, no internal, no snake engine. And she's not Chinese.

I've uploaded a 30 minute video where I correct her mistakes and show the correct way to do SNT:
