I would totally donate money to help improve the forum (not that I have any complaints, really). Let's start a kickstarter!

I imagine it's quite a mess by now, huh? IMO you guys should just start fresh. I know people would ***** and whine about the old threads, but they'd get over it. Personally, I would applaud the step. And you can always save the archive and reintroduce them as needed or whatever.

And most importantly, it would make your(or whoever has the lovely task of maintaining this joint) life so much easier.

Hope things are running a little smoother now. Our IT is still doing some clean-up and promises a full-report next week (but it seems to have been mostly an issue with our provider). I should know more tomorrow. Again, sorry for the interruption of service. These things happen. :o

For the record, you guys do a pretty great job considering how big the forum is. I'm glad it's not my headache. I just have the engineer mentality. We love doing stuff from scratch.

Thanks. Usually it's very self-maintaining. It just craps out every once in a while. Managing all the trolls is more of a bother than the occasional technical issues.

I've heard that gladiatorial bouts had warm up acts like Christians being fed to lions and blind men fighting with knives. While I wouldn't call that entertaining, I do feel there is an analogy to be made here with our forum debates, and that I do find entertaining in a perverse way. Some people like gory horror flicks. Some like political debates. I'm amused by the complaints, especially given that they are in context of the so-called martial world.

I keep saying it: KFM is the wuxia of message boards! :p

People fly off the handle real easily here. It's both sad and sometimes part of the fun, lol.

They rarely complain. Their bias is always known and usually consistent. When they don't work it's most often quite clear as to why, and more importantly, you know you to fix them....

Anyways, you can see why I'm not in public relations. Tact was never my strong suit :) It's not that I can't, it's that I couldn't be bothered! :D
