Its your computer.

To reiterate; stop using IE.

A security vulnerability in IE is probably how you got the malware in the first place.

I'm on Chrome too, but Dave's kind of old and stodgy when it comes to technology, so baby steps because we don't want to scare him with too much tech.

Just because the scan says its clean doesn't mean it is.

could be a false positive or you may already have malware.

do you have more than on AV installed? If so, uninstall the extra ones. Only one is required and if you have more than one, you can get trouble.

next, go here: http://www.malwarebytes.org

Download their free anti malware software , install it, update it and run it.

If you do a quick scan and turn up anything more than a cookie, run it again on full scan.

It will clean you up. Then restart and try again. See how that goes.

Greetings,

From NYC, no virus warning. Using Apple computer.

The forum was difficult to access for a little while yesterday.
