before I had a giant red warning
now there is no warning

the same giant red warning went off on FIVE (5) diferent computers, two of them weren't even MINE

The same "giant red warning" on all 5 computers then presumably all 5 computers were running Avast. No one else that we know of reported an issue and all of a sudden all 5 computers no longer get the warning.

Wherever people are confronted with their own ignorance, they will attempt to fill that void with whatever supposition seems to fit their world view.

So, obviously, lacking any sort of information or understanding of computer viruses and malware, or for that matter modern operating systems, definitions files in software, firewall actions etc it has to be the fault of someone or something else. :p

so obviously your internet forum had a virus ....

To me, being an IT/Web guy, that just reads as hilarious... :p

However, only you would come back with a thread titled 'I'm back (so run and hide)' and then claim you were away because of the viruses and find fault with admin because they 'didn't admit it'. Did the other two on this very thread do that? Was there some sort of official viral denial on our part sparking this paranoid delusion of yours? It's our fault that our freely access forum set off your virus alerts and there was some massive cover-up so we could sell more nunchuks (http://www.martialartsmart.com/weapons-nunchakus.html) or something? :rolleyes:

That wasn't actually due to a viral attack. The forum (and KFM (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/)) crashed due to other technical difficulties (our hosting company). Crashes happen.

That wasn't actually due to a viral attack. The forum (HOME OF OUR WONDERFUL MARTIAL ARTS EQUIPMENT) crashed due to other technical difficulties rleated to nunchaku. Nunchako happen.
