With the new Ironside series debuting this week, I remembered that there was an old Bruce Lee cameo in the original series that I had never seen. Ironside is on Hulu+ and that episode, Tagged for Murder, is in season one. It's awesome. Bruce plays Leon Soo, a karate instructor in Chinatown. It's a short cameo, towards the end of the episode, almost jarring with the tone of the show. He has a little sparring scene, which is a little silly, but great for TV in '67. It's pure Bruce. It was also great to see vintage SF - empty streets with parking - WOW!

Now if Hulu+ would only pick up Here Come the Brides and Blondie. Or better yet, Longstreet and the original Green Hornet.

Many of us have seen the training scene on Longstreet, but this clip is very rare:

Greetings,

I remember seeing Here Comes the Brides. [Edit: my memory of the synopsis is incorrect]. The only martial indication was a hatchet thrown at the door of his home. The only activity shown by Bruce Lee was his happy run towards the end of a pier and then jumping off into the water, in a strange way, similar to the ending of The Chinese Connection.

As I wrote before, I was wandering if the Kung Fu uniform scene in ETD was connected in some way to some event that took place in the filming of this Ironside episode; similarly, he was the only person not wearing a gi.

EDIT:

Hulu is for past NBC broadcasts.

"The Green Hornet", "Here Comes the Brides" and "Longstreet" were broadcast on ABC
