I am referring specificly to this type of twisting winding wrapping motions using your arms, waist, torso bending/ducking, and circular stepping to entangle/envelope the opponent's limbs, neck, and torso in one continous motion like a snake coiling around the branches of a tree as moves around in the tree. Looks almost like a very refined high level of grappling.

kali and pencak silat developed independently of baquazhang but through synthesis I can see how practitioners of silat can pick up baquazhang if they are so inclined.
I can see a that the way how baquazhang is taught , it can be considered beginner level and kali, escrima, etc can be upper or higher level due to the present wushu form baquazhang, which the many are not taught martial oriented usage.
