I am saddened to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Sifu James Cama.

My fondest memories of Sifu Cama was about 15 years ago when I had just started to do my research on the mainland china wck systems. I called him up to ask him a few questions about the siu baat gwa set that's in Fut Sao wck, he invited me down to NYC to visit him with open arms. I trained with him and his students for a couples month in order to get a feel for his Fut Sau WCK art, and I visited him whenever I was in NYC during that time. One of the things i liked about hanging out with sifu Cama was all the great stories he had to share and his genuine passion for his art. He was truely an old school sifu!

May he rest in peace. I am thankful for all that he has selflessly shared with me during that time.

My deepest condolences to his family, students, and friends.

I met Sifu James Cama when i was a teenager in the 80's i took a free lesson from him, when my dad moved to georgia, and i missed my wing chun training. although, i didnt join his school, i chose full contact kickboxing, everytime i ran into him he was very kind and polite. i had just joined his praying mantis facebook page, and had a couple of nice conversations with him. a very kind and gentle warrior. god bless his soul, and god bless his family in this very sad trying time.

I heard about Sifu Cama passing late last night. I could not believe it. I saw him not to long ago and he had a lot of vitality. He was also one of my Sifu"s and I learnt quite a lot about Fut Sao from him.

Hello all,

I can't begin to express my shock. If it wasn't because I saw Ken Fish's post it on the Rumsoakedfist Forums I wouldn't have believed it.
I was his student for a brief stint in the early 2000's. The couple years I spent at the kwoon were arguably the happiest years of my life.
I remember before joining going for a sit in and then a trial class...Sifu came over and asked me..."so whatyathink of tonight's class?" I was like "that's what I want to do!" The grin on his face was priceless!

I will forever cherish and hold dear all he gave without reservation. And so another great light is extinguished from the Fut Sao world.

My deepest condolences to his family, students, and friends.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family and students of GM James Cama. Another great teacher who has left us, I hope his legacy will be passed down to future generations.
I had the pleasure to meet the teacher in 2004 while I was doing research on the WCK system. I was interested in his system and decided to invite him for a stage in Italy.
I immediately appreciated the system, and moreover the man, and I had the honor of being one of his students for years.
It was a wonderful person, always smiling, cheerful and helpful.
We have lost a great teacher and a great man, who has left an indelible mark on us all, both in martial arts and in life.
