Great guy but one look at him and you knew he'd crush you fast and hard. He had a place called The Jet Center or something right across the street from Panther Productions. Bob coached one of the Gracie brothers I think.

Wasn't The Jet Center run by Benny "The Jet" Urquidez and his siblings?

Yes. But Bob place was also called Jet. Im almost positive. They were obviously in no way related in business. His place was NICE too.

Yeah look in the link. He founded the Jets. Maybe it was called JETS ( Junior Elite Training System ) center. It was so long ago. 20+ years back.

Off by a letter. It is mentioned in this article, http://www.ocregister.com/articles/rampage-74842-ufc-wec.html

Interesting! Thanks. When I trained BJJ, the key lock (Americana) was one of two moves I became best and most comfortable at applying (the other was the kimura arm bar).

I never trained there. I was not wrestling then but his boys were in the best shape I have ever seen young guys in. Far better than I ever was. I think you could join to use the facilty. It was a really well equipped, brand new place. Bob was just IMPRESSIVE. There was no question you were in the presence of among the best.
