I thought it was just my computer but when I used the other one I noticed that it was aol that was messed up.When I go online my buddy list doesn't seem to come up and I can't IM anyone not even myself. My brother told me that his friends aol was acting strange also, anyone else have the same problem?

I just called my friend (not because of aol though) and he said the same thing happened. He said the server might be down or crashed. Some technical term like that.

I was talking to one Tech support guy.. they view AOL as a virus... because it crates its own little world and dial up adapter... I dont know what to think of Time Warner and AOL merging... Time Warner--> Roadrunner...???

It lacks everything I need in an isp.

I have vague memories of a free trial offer they did a while back: 1000 hours free access limited to one month. But AOL, there aren't 1000 hours in a month.

It installs all sorts of useless crap on your machine and fills your screen with pap and advertising, leaving you a letterbox-sized window to browse in. Heaven forbid that you might want to play Quake 3 or Counterstrike over the net. I know game servers that ban AOL connections due to the way they can't keep up with the action.

just an opinion...
