Anybody know anything about this system? Apparently it's only taught to Hui people (Chinese muslims) in the Mosque. Im wondering if it's related to the Qi Shi Lian Quan listed in the 18 ancestors of Mantis

I had wondered about this about ten years ago, but found no leads. Thanks for bringing it up. I'll look into it again.
We can almost assume there is a Muslim influence in Mantis so it makes sense from that point of view.
I think there was the question of "Seven Maneuvers" or "Seven Masters" both pronounce qi shi.

Thanks Kevin, was hoping you would chime in!

I saw on Wikipedia it has Seven Masters, but I had assumed it was a typo.

What other Muslim influence can you see on Mantis? I just know of various Chang Quan systems including Tan Tui from the west of Shandong are of Muslim origin. I think I red somewhere the Tan Tui sets are based somehow on the letters of the Arabic alphabet???
