Another martial arts 'cameo' in the first season of a new show. This reminds me of what they did with Almost Human (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?67188-Gina-Carano&p=1261291#post1261291) and iZombie (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?68570-iZombie). More evidence of martial arts trending on TV.

"Limitless" tells the story about an ordinary guy, Brian Finch (Jake McDorman), who discovers a drug that enables any person to utilize his or her brain to its full potential.

The drug called NZT-48 gives any person perfect memory recall and enhanced data analysis making anyone super smart and capable of becoming an expert on anything in a matter of hours or minutes.

But by the looks of the sneak peek trailer for the upcoming episode of the show, NZT doesn't necessarily make anyone a martial arts expert overnight.

The latest trailer for the upcoming episode shows Brian try to apprehend a suspect/perpetrator by using what he knows about martial arts from the Kung-Fu movies he has watched. But it doesn't work to his advantage and the perp easily knocks him down with one punch.

Rebecca (Jennifer Carpenter) sees him lying on the floor and they both decide that he needs further training in self-defense.

Brian gets more training in martial arts and it seems he's practicing a few Brazilian Ji-Jitsu moves from some guy, but according to the synopsis of episode five the martial arts instructor is Rebecca's former boyfriend.

So it would be fun to see how Rebecca's ex will handle her working closely with Brian and from the looks of the trailer it seems that he's giving Finch some painful lessons.

The previous episode saw Brian finally succumb to Senator Morra's (Bradley Cooper) demands and he steals some FBI documents for him. Unfortunately, it won't stop there because Morra is going to force Brian once again to prevent Rebecca from investigating further on NZT-48.

From the beginning of the series, Senator Morra has been trying to put a lid on the drug that's making him and Brian two of the most intelligent human beings in the world and the FBI seems to be getting closer to their drug.

That is why Morra took in Brian to ensure that the FBI won't get that far with their investigation on the drug but it also puts Brian in an awkward and perhaps disastrous situation since he would have to betray Rebecca's trust.

In the upcoming episode, Brian will discover something about Rebecca's father and he has to decide if he will tell her about it and risk his safety, since Morra promised him that if he leaks any information about NZT to the FBI he will die a slow and painful death.

"Limitless" episode five titled "Personality Crisis" will air on CBS on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
