Thanks for posting that, mickey!

I remember seeing Theatre of Blood as a kid, but had forgotten a lot of the details. Funny enough, at the time I thought it was a bit disturbing/scary. Now, of course, I can better appreciate Price's unique brand of tongue in cheek humor.

I've always liked Vincent Price's performances. IMO, he was one of those great actors who translated especially well from the stage to the screen. He was always entertaining and never boring. My personal favorites of his movies include:

House on Haunted Hill
House of Wax
Witchfinder General (released in the US as The Conqueror Worm)
Theatre of Blood
And others I can't think of at the moment...

I still think he had the best evil laugh of all time!

Greetings Jimbo,

Vincent Price was fantastic with his timing and delivery. I loved the missing dog scene, something that may have inspired the pie scene in TITUS (another classic).

This movie helped me define what a great villain truly is: a basically good person who experiences a wrong or trauma that is so tragic, it could not recovered from. It forever twists that persons perception of right and wrong. Even death is not sufficient release.
