'In Like Flynn' stars Thomas Cocquerel as the Hollywood screen legend.
Highlander director Russell Mulcahy has started the cameras rolling on In Like Flynn, an action biopic starring Thomas Cocquerel as legendary Hollywood screen star Errol Flynn.
The adventure film, now shooting on the Gold Coast in Australia, portrays Flynn as a young man whose magnetism inspires a rag-tag team of friends to set sail in search of elusive New Guinea gold. The pic also stars Corey Large, William Moseley, Clive Standen, Callan Mulvey, Isabel Lucas, Nathalie Kelly, David Wenham and Dan Fogler.
The screenplay for In Like Flynn was written by Large, Steve Albert, Luke Flynn (Errol Flynn's grandson) and Alexander Djamirze.
"It’s exciting bringing this part of Flynn’s early life to the screen, before all the fame, wealth and women,” writer, producer and star said Large in a statement.
Producer credits on In Like Flynn are shared by James M. Vernon and Large. Joan LeSeur, Gary Ousdahl, Luke Flynn and Felipe A. Dieppa are executive producers.
In Like Flynn is slated for release in 2018.
