Bollywood actress and glam diva, Sonam Kapoor firmly believes that educating girls about their bodies and its timely changes is equivalent to empowering them to feel confident about taking care of themselves. She says, “when we embolden the youth, we create a positive change for the future”.
The actress recently attended an event to support the accomplishments of “She’s Ambassador”, a programme by Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (MOGS) and PVR Nest that emphasises on promoting healthcare, education and safe practices among young girls. The programme included knowledgeable sessions on menstrual health and hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness, mental health and well-being, etc.
According to Sonam Kapoor, “She’s Ambassador” initiative has not only empowered young girls but also has inspired them and made them more confident and self-aware. Thus, enabling them to take charge of their development and become role models for many others. This initiative was also supported by actor-producer-author-entrepreneur - Twinkle Khanna and politician - Priya Dutt.
