View Full Version : RIP Master Dave Lacey

I heard the sad news through several trusted sources on social media last night. Vince and Shane Lacey's school (https://chinesekungfu.com.au/) is local to our CA HQ (Dave was Vince's brother). I didn't know the Laceys well but I did know them, for many years in fact. The last time I saw the Laceys was at GM Allen Joe (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?70751-RIP-GM-Allen-Joe)'s funeral.

I haven't heard anything about the cause or funeral details. Perhaps some one else here knows more.

Tough day for the wulin. We lost both the Bald Eagle Ji Chunhua (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?70855-RIP-Master-Ji-Chunhua-The-Bald-Eagle) and a Black Panther Dave Lacey (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?70854-RIP-Master-Dave-Lacey). :(

Perhaps some one else here knows more. It was you I was thinking about, hsk. It was your facebook post that first alerted me to Master Lacey's passing. Do you have any more details? I really didn't know him. Of the Lacey clan, I know Shane best, and really that's only in passing. In fact, I often confused Dave with Vince. I've already seen another facebook post where someone claimed Vince had passed.

sorry bro. i didn't want to get all into it. I talked to Sifu Nick, but he's pretty broken up about it. if i get some info. i'll post it here

Vince is a little larger in frame than Dave was. GM Dave was on the thinner side. GM Vince had more meat on his bones.

GM Vince is still alive. I called his son Shane last night to check in on them.

I'm sure it's a tough time and please give the family our condolences. Also, if they are interested in having us publish an obituary, let them know I'm available to them for that. I may reach out too, but it's a tad awkward because I don't really know them that well.
