need help with lineage

Hello all, just wanted to post this bit of info becuse I know some of you guys are pretty much well schooled on lineage and I am checking my connection to them but I just want to see if indeed what I have been told is true and thier dates correct.

If you have different lineages would you please let me know. Also If you have any fact lineage before what I have for I am missing the names of 13 generations from chen seng feng I would appreciate it emensly. thank you for taking the time to answer.

Hey,

the more common spellings of these two names...

Wu Chen Yo (1834-1902)_________________
Wu Ching Chen (1870-1942)_____________

Would be

Wu Chuan Yu
and
Wu Jian Quan

There's also a continual debate over who actually taught Chuan Yu. (The Wu was a later addition to seem more Han, since he was ethnic Manchu). Some people say he was taught by Yang Lu Chan, and he was listed as being taught by Yang Ban Hou for reasons of face. Other people say Yang Lu Chan just gave Chuan Yu some advice, but never really taught him, etc.

Well that helped a little, it gave me 2 more pregenertations before the ones I have which are Chen Bing Wang, and Chen Wang Ting 1580-1660. Does anyone have Chen lineage before 1580 AD ?

According to a number of sites, Chen Wang Ting is effectively considered the Founder of Chen Style.
