JiuJieBian (Chain Whip)

Hey Everyone,
Iv been practicing with the JiuJieBian for a couple months now and I am trying to understand its role in the art. Now I understand its part of the Shaolin training, but I have never seen any real mention of it being a part of any particular style beyond that. Anyone know anything more?

A little late for that :)
Interestingly I just spent two weeks at the Shaolin Temple and while working with the chain whip it looks like I have actually been working with two different styles the entire time and didn't realize it.
