Shi Derun is the coach responsible for Cung Le who is the person who got me attracted to SanShou as a youngin.....and arguably one of the best kickboxers/MMAist of our time.
I had no idea! Shi Deru training him makes it all make sense as to why Cung Le seemed to have an "edge" in the ring that was beyond is time and the climate of the sport.
wow...... now after I learned this earlier today, I immediately thought about all the MMA people who diss traditional Shaolin....what gives? lol
