In all honesty, the main reason I did this review (http://www.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=1522) was because I love the story. Rani Lakshimbai is one of the great women warriors of history. But if you read my review, I mentioned Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which is more geared towards Indian tastes in film.

As per 2018 study by #womenintvfilm, 65% of all female characters were white in the top 100 films of 2018. 21% Black, 10% Asian, 4% Latina & 1% another ethnicity - Director Swati Bhise's film #TheWarriorQueenofJhansi is in that 1% with an Indian descent action female lead - Devika Bhise

Thank you to those who understood the vision and supported this small mother-daughter project made with love. This film is a tribute to the spirit of the Rani and to bring this historic legend's story to the global audiences.

The Warrior Queen of Jhansi releases in India on 29th November 2019.
The story also includes a British perspective, gives more insight on the political & economic environment at that time. Tickets will be on sale soon
