Has anyone heard of this place? They have a karate program and a BJJ program. They also claim that they were rated #1 in Canada, and #4 in the world by some organization called the NLB or something. Anyways, I was thinking of entering their BJJ program, but they sound a little cheesy to me. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about them?

BJJ Will succumb, do you think a MCBJJ burger will be as good as a MCKARATE burger.

what do bin laden and general custer have in common????
They're both wondering where the fu(k all of those tomahawks are coming from. - donated by mojo

Here's the website
http://www.joslinskarate.com/index3.htm

The reason I posted is because I heard good things about it from a few different sources. I always thought it was just a regular mcdojo.

Your missing something real important.Prowess in "BJJ" requires actual physical testing.Their is no, "My teacher could tear you apart".We'll, let's see it!You can run around doing funny stances and making chi cakes while claiming to be the deadliest guy in the world.Thats fine. But in grappling, its put up or shut up.No speculation required.

When you'r telling one of your little stories, here's a idea; Have a point, it makes it so much more interesting for the reader.

Yeah joslins is legit...think the bjj tournament is this weekend on the 10th. The mixedmartialarts underground forum has some further information on it.

Vasco, I don't think he's missing that. However, if someone starts a bjj school and is only half qualified,or doesn't roll with the students, then those students are not gonna be very good. It happens, will happen, and future martial arts will have the same problem. No system completely weeds out mediocrity forever. Chaos prevails at times, and will for bjj too.

Nothing against bjj, I think its cool stuff, but reality is reality, bjj didn't suddenly change the rules. If your argument were true, then the same would be true for all judo schools as well, but there are bad judo school. Sad to say it, but unscrupulous people cannot be cut from the equation, especially since without unscrupulous people, most martial arts wouldn't have had many great fighters(bodyguards for opium convoys, etc.)
