Besides Kajukenbo ,there is also another branch of kajukenbo called Wun Hop Kuen Do ( Combination Fist Art ) or
(blending in).
A system which contains a combination
of the Hawaiian Kajukenbo system ,along with different systems of kung fu ,and
escrima.
But more of a chinese / filipino influence than kajukenbo.

It was developed in 1969 by Sigung
Al Dacascos.
And sifu al has taught some very famous people in the martial arts movie industry like.
Karen Sheperd and Eric Lee.

Although ,I don't take Wun Hop Kuen Do ,
I've heard alot about Sifu Al and his son Mark Dacascos and their art Wun Hop Kuen Do , through some friends.
I also have the Wun Hop Kuen Do video tape.
Today a lot of people are learning wun hop kuen do.
Sifu Al also learned chinese kenpo from the late Willliam Chow in Hawaii,in his younger days.
Then learned Kajukenbo first from Sid Ascuncion and Sijo Adriano Emperado.
Other than that he did learn kung fu under some very famous teachers in the mainland and Hawaii.

In the other forums it says that kajukenbo people was beaten by shotokan stylists.
So why not try learning Wun Hop Kuen Do.
Ofcoarse,I'm not trying to create any trouble.
I do have respect for the shotokan people and kajukenbo people.
But all I'm saying is if the kajukenbo people can't beat shotokan people, then why not learn wun hop kuen do.

Take Care
