Praying Mantis Question

Would someone be able to explain the differences between Taiji, Plum Blossom, and Grand Ultimate Praying Mantis boxing? As far as I can tell, it almost seems like three different names for the same style, maybe some minute differences. Thanks, Mike

There are three different names for Plum Blossom Praying Mantis boxing (Meihua Tanglang Quan):

1.Grand Ultimate Praying Mantis boxing (Taiji Tanglang Quan).
2.Plum Blossom Praying Mantis boxing (Meihua Tanglang Quan).
3.Grand Ultimate Plum Blossom Praying Mantis boxing (Taiji Meihua Tanglang Quan).

However, there are also 3 main branches of Plum Blossom Praying Mantis boxing (Meihua Tanglang Quan) and these have some minor differences.

The latest edition of Journal of Asian Martial Arts (Vol 10 #4)
has a very extensive article by Ilya Profatilov concerning the
history of Plum Blossom Praying Mantis.
