Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

After a bit more than a year of taijiquan practice I'm finally beginning to really believe that it's a practical effective system. Sure, my instructor seemed to be able to make use of it but perhaps he's some sort of taiji genius. Anyhoo, I'm about to attempt a poll:

tai chi is effective, my teacher is a friend dan docherty.If you want to see just how effective tai chi can be without going into the past, just do some research on dan.

When my teacher blew through my black belt TKD skills like I wasn't even there. He also introduced me to pressure points I could use to stop the pain from full-contact sparring. That in itself convinced me there was something worth learning about.

I had a sneaky feeling from the start that there must be something of combat value to it. However, I could not make heads or tails out of how it was suppose to work. Currently, I'm still generally lost and out in the cold but some of the principles are starting to sink into my thick skull.
