Okay, beings that I have decided to move to Las Vegas (99.9 % chance).....I am wondering besides the gambling, neked peeps, and awesome shows, what else is there to do there??? And how many of you all live there or around there??

Yung Apprentice
12-30-2001, 07:10 PM
What is there to do? MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Nah,hahahaha but seriously.... what isn't here that you can't do? I moved here from Mesa,AZ, (even though I wasn't in Mesa long) but I love it here. I've visited many places but I'm gonna stay here. We have theme parks, indoor skydiving, clubs, clubs, and more clubs. Pool halls, places where people go to just uuuhhhmm do the no no cha cha. heeheehee. We have a lot more recreational things than most would expect. I think there is still a place to go bungee jumping. Thats just SOME stuff. If you 21 and up in this town, the city is your playground. So what kinda stuff do you like? Because we have a little bit of everything here.

Maybe the other guys can help out. I know Jaguar Wong, TigerStyle, and Watchman are also living here.

Watchman doesn't live in Las Vegas silly.....I know where he lives! But, I am just wondering because I really REALLY hate living in Oregon (so tired of this depressed area) and I am looking at Las Vegas because I really don't want to go back to So Cal! Thank you though!!

Thats one thing Vegas isn't....deppressing. If you make some good friends, you'll probably love it out here.

Not DEPRESSING silly.....DEPRESSED....no money, no jobs, no EVERYTHING....oh, but theirs SNOWBOARDING!! WOO HOO!

I thought Watchman was from here. Where is he from then? Oh well, oooo, heres something cool that you can take the kids to (if you like bowling) they have a couple bowling lanes out here, and on (i think it's Fridays) they have like an intergalctic bowling. It's cool, they have cool music, the balls light up it's all black light and lasers and things like. It's kinda like a rave with out all the raver music, drugs, and sex. Kids love it. I take my nephew all the time, he practically makes me go with him.I'm watching t.v. and I just saw the commercial, so I guess thats why I'm bringing this up! :D

Got lots of jobs and money to be made here! And you can find some pretty good deals on rent out here, too! Cost of living here is low.

12-30-2001, 07:53 PM
I have quite a few friends that are already living there...lived there for quite a while, and they just tell me there's "nuthin" else to do......thats why i asked on here. And it's a pretty fun place..I know i would have a hella good time there!!

Yung Apprentice
12-31-2001, 05:22 AM
I've lived here for about fifteen years, and believe me there is way more things to do out here then people even living here know of. But for a good resource, there is this magazine(s) that are published here;the Neon and the Mercury that come in the newspaper on thursdays and fridays( or was it fridays and saturdays?), and they list things that you can do here and go see(just the legit stuff, nothing underground) and I was amased at some of the stuff Vegas has to offer. The ungerground stuff..... you'll have to find some of that stuff out yourself.:D

Yung Apprentice

One really good quality about Vegas is it's definately a 24 hour town. Some of the bigger cities I've been to close down at like midnight ot two o'clock. Here, it's convenient (I think I spelled that wrong) that a lot of places are still open at four in the morning.

And jobs are VERY easy to find in this town, you can make some money here.

I really should stop. I just went back and reread the post and I sound like I'm jumbled!:D

Yung,
You forgot the most important thing in Vegas: BUFFETS!

All-You-Can-Eat Buffets as far as the eye can see! Every casino has one, and some of them are even good! ;) Another thing that I recently noticed after a trip to So Cal: In Las Vegas, they pretty much frown on any food establishment having less than an "A" rating from the health department (they even report some lower rated restaurants on the news).

There's all kinds of crap to do here. Just like Yung mentioned, it's a 24 hour town. Until recently, I used to be able to rent movies at 3:00am if I wanted (unfortunately, they started closing at 2:00am now).

Just off the top of my head: hiking, rock climbing, clubbing, gambling, "escorts" ;) , arcades, movies (many casinos have excellent movie theatres as well), laser tag, watching sports with strangers (ESPN Club), NASCAR, themed restaurant dining, water park, roller coasters, shopping, "tourist" site seeing, shows, Ultimate Fighting Championship, boxing, MA schools and MA tournaments (a pretty big tourney here every summer), lots of concerts, conventions, and best of all... FREE PARKING! (except at conventions :) )

I'm sure you know this, but if you come to Vegas an air conditioned car is pretty much manditory, because summer can bring the hot.

If you are looking to move, and like snowboarding, and want an epic area, then look to Denver. Sure Vegas is cool, but some could find it too much. (Not me, I love that place). But find it a better place to visit than to live. I here Phoenix is pretty cool as well.

Geez. Your making New York seem like a second rate dump :D. I still love it though. It has everything you listed really, you just have to have alot of money. I'm still thinking of moving after college though. Anyhow GOOD LUCK Wushuchik.

Nah. I think I'll stay here, at least for now =)

There isn't that much to do here in my opinion. I've lived here all my life. This place is a big tourist trap. When you've lived here long enough, and done everything, it gets boring. It's not like a big city where you can drive for a couple hours and go to the beach, museum, etc. Once you do everything that's here, you'll be bored and trapped, cause everything else is at least 5 hours away. Then again maybe I'm cynical because I'm 18 (underage for most things here) and broke. Lots of good martial arts here though. If you need a training partner let me know. You too yung apprentice, I've been looking for some training partners. I've been training real hard as I will be going into the military soon. That's why I haven't been around to post much lately.

There is a lot more to Vegas than people know. Problem with people living here is that tho many people don't want to look for things. Vegas have a lot of things to offer. Like I said before there is a little bit of everything here, you just have to know hot look for it. Weird thing about Vegas, there is two sides to it. Hey YungWun... your eighteen? Were did you graduate from?

Community College High School. Have you ever heard of that school Young Apprentice? It's pretty cool. You can only go your junior and senior years. You have to apply for it, but they let you finish out your high school credits and pay for you to get a head start on college. Before that, I went to A-Tech. But, I'm zoned to go to Eldorado. Get in touch with me so we can train Young Apprentice. My email addy is in my profile.

Cool, I went to Vo-Tech for two years(got kicked out for fights:mad: ) I graduated from Valley. I would love to train ( and I'm going to feel like an ass in saying this) but I have yet to start learning. :( I won't be able to until late spring. Due to no transportation, and I'm saving money up for Community College, and for a car. I've taken two years of TKD ( which sucked ass ) so forgive me in saying I'd feel a bit odd in training with you, seeing as how I have no CMA background yet. But for right now I'm currently working out to get back in shape, so I don't feel like a complete ass when I do start studying. Your entering the military, and I will be going for METRO. My goal is to eventually become a homicide detective. SO I'll be studying things like criminal law. I'll be studying Hsing-I at this school on Nellis. But if your still around or when/if you come back from the military I'd be more than happy to train with you.

yungwun

I've studied 5 animals, wing chun, Setku-Do, and Kali. Been doing it since I was a little kid. My uncles trained me, except for a friend of mine, who is the only U.S. master of Setku-Do. He just opened up a school here. Go to www.skd21.com to check out the school, and find out more about the art of Setku-Do. Also, he originally started out on filipino and chinese martial arts. So, if you show real intensity and fire, he'll show you lots of cool stuff, privately. You'll become a major badass in no time. His name is Joshua Jackson. He's competed all over the place. That's the only teacher I've had that you could learn from. All the others are my relatives. The email aint workin on the forum. I really want to show you some stuff before I leave, so, here is my email addy: jdrewd@hotmail.com Put "Kung Fu" in the subject box of the email, so I don't delete it without opening it. Get back to me, so we can train. Later.

yungwun
01-21-2002, 12:57 PM
He is an arrogant S.O.B. ain't he? I left towards the end of the semester and I'm back in town handling some family business. Hopefully, I'll be leaving this week. So get back to me as soon as possible. I'm joining the NAVY. I got a BUD/S contract. So, I'll be going from bootcamp (where I have 3 chances to pass a special physical), to learn my job (Intelligence), to BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolitions/ SEAL training). So, basically when I pass the physical in bootcamp, I'll have guaranteed myself a spot in the NAVY SEAL training program. I'm gonna train until June, when I go off to bootcamp. I'm going to qinway qigong center as a volunteer. Lots of hard work, lots of qigong training, lots of time to practice MA and work out. Sounds good to me! Plus, there's lots of good martial artists up there that I can train with. Anyway, you're probably getting sick of reading this. You shouldn't have gotten me started man! Get back at me as soon as possible.

Yung Apprentice
01-21-2002, 07:48 PM
Thats cool with me! Ah that funny! I saw Oscar the week before christmas, cause he works at LIDS inside the Boulevard Mall, and all we talked about was where he trains. He looked hella in shape. But he is one ****y son of a b*tch! Is he even remotely good as he says he is?

yungwun
01-21-2002, 09:15 PM
He learns extremely fast. He's an excellent grappler. He should make some money in the UFC and in Japan when he gets his stand up game going, but, right now he needs to work on his footwork, chin na, throws, punching, & kicking. He talks like he's a major badass, but, all he really has is his grappling. He'll do good if he keeps practicing everyday like he has been. Besides I haven't seen him for a while. I know he'll be good when I come back around in the summertime. So, he's alright, but nowhere near as good as his talking game. But, that's just how he is, he even talks **** to our sensei!

Yung Apprentice
01-22-2002, 05:56 AM
Yeah he was telling me about a sparring session he had with some guy there. The guy was a better striker than he was , he admitted, but Oscar was better at grappling. He's been talking about the UFC for a year or two now. He might be o.k. cause I think he's got heart, and that crazy fu*ck has yet to show me he can be intimidated.

You know, he has actually toned down a bit. You should have heard this guy back in high school. Didn't know how to talk about anything other than himself, he still does, but not as often. I even did a part time security job at aclub with him and a few other friends. He was all about that UFC thing, we just thought at that time he was talking out of his a*ss!

Latest Expanse Studios release is live - Shaolin Crew
VALLETTA, Malta, Nov. 27, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Expanse Studios, a developer in the online slot gaming sector, has announced the release of "Shaolin Crew," marking the company's first venture into the Megaways slot genre. Set against an Ancient Chinese backdrop, this game combines a traditional theme with modern slot mechanics.

Innovative Game Design with Dynamic Reel Structure

Shaolin Crew features a 6-reel design that varies the number of symbols per reel with each spin, ranging from 2 to 7 symbols. This dynamic approach aims to create a varied and engaging player experience. The game employs a “cascading wins” feature, where winning symbols are replaced with new ones, potentially leading to consecutive wins.

Gameplay and Features

The game presents a variety of symbols, including scatter and wild symbols, within a 7x6 grid layout. Triggering three scatter symbols initiates a free spins bonus round. Additionally, "Shaolin Crew" includes a Mystery Wild Swap feature, which randomly adds wild symbols to the reels.

Statistical Aspects of the Game

"Shaolin Crew" offers a Return to Player (RTP) rate of 97.14%. The game's design is high in volatility, providing a gaming experience with potentially significant payouts. The maximum win potential is stated as 5000 times the player's bet. The game does not include a gamble feature, focusing instead on the core gameplay mechanics.

What to Expect?

"Shaolin Crew" aims to offer an immersive experience into the world of Ancient China through its theme and gameplay features. Expanse Studios' foray into the Megaways slot category with this game reflects its ongoing efforts to innovate in the online slot gaming industry.

About Expanse Studios

Founded in 2017, Expanse Studios is already a trailblazer in the online gaming industry. With a relentless focus on innovation, Expanse merges old-school motifs with state-of-the-art design, captivating soundtracks, and immersive animations.
