Differences?

What are the differences between SPM and NPM? Are there different variations in SPM?

They each came about at different times, from different people--they're not related to each other.

As far as physical differences... I've never seen or studied SPM, so I really have no idea how it moves.

I myself have never seen too much SPM. I have seen a couple videos over at carbonecho.com about SPM, but it bares no resemblence to any style of Mantis I've seen before. You might go ask in the Southern Chinese forum.
