What muscles does pullup train?I was just thinking,now that i have started to do pullups daily,its WAY easier to pull off my judo throws!Now I can swing my pal around who is about 220lbs without breaking a sweat!.Please note that I am only sixteen.:p

There are a lot of different kinds of chin ups. I believe you get the following muscles

Trapezius
Posterior deltoid
Medial deltoid
Lattissimus dorsi (the lats)
biceps

Basically a pull up exercises almost every muscle in your upper back. One of the best exercises out there too, it develops your arms pretty fast too (since you are lifting your body weight). There are alot of different kinds of chin ups, wide grip (with the bar behind your neck when you pull up or with it in front of you), reverse close grip (the pals are facing you) one handed, there are probably a dozen different ways, even clasping your hands together on the bar and doing them side ways does your back muscles.

Im trying to gain muscle mass, are pull ups good for that? (i only have limited weights).
