Nan Dao (southern broadsword)

Just how hard is nan dao?

It looks very effective, but I was wondering if it is hard to learn as opposed to a normal broadsword.

I guess considering it has qualities of a normal dao as well as a butterfly sword there are tricky bits but it all depends on how you were trained
