Hi.

Has anybody here been lucky enough to have studied the "Tai Chi Halbert".
I know it is a form that is taught to very few people.

Also what other Weapons besides the 4 main ones do you practice.

I know that some styles have a few other Weapons forms.
Like Fan/s, Double Sword, Wind & Fire Wheels(??).

Looking forward to your responses.

There's a woman in the bay area who teaches the vhen style guan dao. I don't study with her though. I've never actually seen the full form, just snippets, so I'm not sure if it's a power training form, or one oriented towards usage. What I saw looked interesting, but I'm a weapons fiend. Everything looks interesting to me, if it has an edge.

Hi Daniel.

I am also an edged Weapon fiend.

But I prefer double Weapons like:
Hook Swords
Deer Horns
Wind & Fire Wheels
Buter fly Swords.

Tried some of the non-edged Weapons as well like 9-section whip and others.

Always wanted a Trainign room with one wall covered in weapons.

Nice dream, but unrealistic in Japan. :(

Forgot to mention my Style.

Has the following 2 Forms.

37 posture single Fan (Right FAn)

37 posture doulbe Fan (Right & Left Fan)

We use the Silk & Bamboo Fans.

First we learn the single Fan Form than the double Fan Form.

Bassically the same Form with a few changed postures, but the single fan form is tougher.

Seeya.

I love the elbow daggers, but I can't seem to find a good set anywhere. Anyone seen any around? We also use the piercers. I just got a new wax wood pole that is over 10 feet long. It's a bear to weild.:)

Have you tried Brendan Lai's? It's been my experience that if they don't have something, they can get them as long as they exist.

Tell me if they carry them though, I'm kind of curious myself now.
