I have a new respect for the grapplers/wrestler out in the world. I already had respect for their skill, due to some ass beatings I have taken, but I just started a mixed grappling class, and holy crap I have never done anything with this much technique.

Just remember take it slow and if it feels uncomfortable tap out. Besides that hope it works out great for you. My theory is the best way to learn grappling is to tap in grappling.

Whenever I meet anyone I offer them a certain level of respect (say 5 out of 10). Depending on their actions it either stays, goes up or down. Same with Martial Artists of any description. I met a guy the other day who has been in MA for 13 years. I think the friend who introduced me expected me to have a great and vast respect for this man, and was somewhat surprised that I treated him like anyone else.

Respect is important, but it has to be earned.
Sounds like these grappler guys have earned it.
Have fun training with them!
