Sorry it took me so long to reply. The reason we use gear is that we focus on amateurs, and we keep the licensing commission out of our hair this way. We aren't trying to be the UFC at all. We are providing a forum for weekend warriors and fighters who want to get their feet wet before stepping up to the pros. The gear keeps us all pretty, and prevents most serious injuries. This event is coming together pretty well. I just signed the 5th fight today. We are shooting for ten matches this go around.
