I'm studying a new form called "5 Elements, 3 Harmonies". It's comprised of the xing-yi 5 element fists (linked, performed on a circle) and three movements that follow similar principles, but strike with both hands simultaneously.
My teacher isn't entirely clear on the origin of the form, though he suggests (and I tend to agree) it is the result of shared information between our Bagua liniage (9 Palace) and the xing-yi community in Beijing. I am curious, however, as to when and how this form might have developed, and whether similar forms exist in other Bagua liniages.
Thanks,
matt
