Yeah, that is a good manuel, mine is in a three-hole punch binder.

The older WWII Fairbairn/Applegate/Biddle/Styers close combat material is much better IMHO though.

Excellent!

Where's the section on using chi to take out the machine gun nest?

BlackJack, I have a friend in Alexandria Virginia (Crucible Systems)who is an instructor of the WWII close quarter combat systems.

Rouge, I'm working on manifesting my chi into small containers for just that purpose. chi gernades if you will. now that I'm a 4th generation student of Rickson Gracie, my aura has grown incredibly immense.

ShaolinTiger,

Yeah, Jim Grover Rocks!

Best **** close combat tapes on the market, the best thing to ever happen to them was to split from John Kary's group, Jim looks like one hardcore dude.

Jim Grover is one of the few people I would fly that far to train with, I would like to find some vacation time to get out there and get some hands on training from him and his group, can not say enough good things about them.

actually Jim Grover is just his pen name. its Kelly McCann. :D and you're very right. He is a HARD CORE man, and taught me everything I'll ever need to know about handguns.

Yeah, I know, its just that I am so used to using his pen name.

Why did he go with the pen name anyway? got rid of an Irish name for Grover?;)

Went to a three day seminar with him a couple of years ago called "Sudden Violence". It was given by my company.

Probably one of the MOST informative 24 hours I have EVER had.

He is definitely one baaaaad dude.

Some very cool stuff in that manual. Does anyone know what the influences are? The double-handed entries look like silat, then there's the kali numbering system... I swear some of the striking and heel kicks look like they're straight out of bagua, but THAT would be surprising.

I find it interesting that all of the techniques in the "grappling" section are all found in aikido.

aikido, judo, jujitsu, bjj, san shou's military applications. - the more I see different styles, the more i see the same techniques. there are only so many ways you can kick/punch/ grapple etc...
